At Shinrai Counselling, we offer a safe, supportive, and confidential space for individuals navigating anxiety, relationship struggles, professional burnout, career uncertainty, and emotional overwhelm.

Sessions are offered in English and Tamil through both online and in-person consultations in Chennai.

Therapy follows a structured yet conversational approach grounded in Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Solution-Focused Brief Therapy (SFBT), and other evidence-based techniques. Sessions focus on helping individuals understand emotional patterns, build practical coping tools, and move toward greater clarity, confidence, balance, and emotional wellbeing.

How can I book a counselling session?
You can book a session directly through our online calendar by selecting your preferred date and available time slot.
Sessions can be booked up to 2 months in advance, based on availability.
Each counselling session is scheduled for approximately 1 hour.
Yes. Once your payment is completed successfully, you will receive a confirmation email and meeting link through email and/or mobile message.

Yes. Clients are allowed to reschedule their appointment only one time, up to 1 hour before the scheduled session. The rescheduled session must be booked within 2 weeks from the original appointment date and is subject to slot availability.

Appointments are reserved exclusively for each client once confirmed. Clients are allowed a one-time rescheduling request up to 1 hour before the scheduled session, and the new appointment must be booked within 2 weeks of the original session date, subject to availability.

Yes. All sessions and client information are kept strictly confidential, except where disclosure is legally required or necessary for safety reasons.

No. Shinrai Counselling does not provide emergency or crisis intervention services. In emergencies, please contact local emergency services or visit the nearest hospital.
Yes. Session reminders and notifications may be sent before your scheduled appointment through email, SMS, or WhatsApp.
We take reasonable measures to maintain secure and confidential online sessions. Clients are encouraged to attend sessions from a private and quite environment.
Yes. Session history and professional notes may be securely stored for continuity of care and future reference.
Where applicable, summary reports may be shared with clients after the completion of sessions. Internal professional notes remain confidential.
Individuals above 18 years can independently book sessions. For minors, parental or guardian consent may be required.

Counselling may support stress management, anxiety, emotional well-being, relationships, self-confidence, work pressure, personal growth, and other life challenges.
